The Circuits

Circuit One
Circuit One is a purpose built bitumen area, rectangular in shape and measures 190 metres long by 33 metres wide. The main uses include:

  • Manoeuvring area for light vehicles
  • Skid cars
  • Simulation Training
  • Displays
  • Reaction Testing
  • Steering Control
  • Lane Changing Manoeuvres
  • Parking
  • Reversing

Circuit Two
Circuit two is a level bitumen surface consisting of an area 190 metres long by 33 metres wide. It is rectangular in shape and allows the same training opportunities as circuit one.

Circuit Three
The large vehicle manoeuvring area consists of 800 square metres of flat bitumen surface. This can be combined with the road circuit to give a 1.6 kilometre road circuit. This area is also utilised for wet weather braking exercises and for motorcycle rider training.

Four Wheel Drive Area
The dedicated Four Wheel drive area incorporates a 3 kilometre circuit. The terrain includes declines, inclines, soft sand, side slopes, hills, slow speed manoeuvring and obstacle negotiation. There is an additional track specially built for the ATV courses. This track has been designed to enable the proper riding techniques for hills, slopes and rough terrain to be demonstrated and taught.
